Masculinity is a unique, personalized experience that every man goes through differently-it is a precious and beautiful thing that needs to be nurtured uniquely to the individual Despite that, society has pressured stereotypical images of what men can and can't be, forcing young boys to adapt to this hegemony without any thoughts of their emotional and physical health often resulting in harmful behavior for the youth. Using symbols like roosters for masculinity and siamese cats for feminisms, I reflect on my journey of boyhood to grown man and how the ideal of what men should behave in the current patriarchal has affected me as a human being.
